I took a road trip across Saskatchewan to Winnipeg for a satisfying conference with Aboriginal and Non-Aboriginal speakers to talk about progress and strategies. Rev Stan MacKay former Moderator of United Church did opening prayer in Native language. Also official opening greetings. Much discussion also film and art. Renewed friendship with Leslie Spillett a Winnipeg advocate for urban natives. Many new friends as well. Hello to all.
I had a big question. How did it happen that Native land was available for my Grandfathers when they came to this prairie area that had sustained Cree, Metis, and Blackfoot buffalo hunters??? My reading has given me many answers.

Come to a Book Talk at Mountainside Vacation Village Tuesday March 8th at 3:30 PM at Recreation Center Lounge. Irene Jamroziak of Ochapowace First Nation and lately of Calgary will be cooperating with Seven to Seventy Talking Circles beginning in April. The first few days in March we will be in BC planning future activities. Our topics will include Living in Right Relations and Justice and Reconciliation.
