In this year of celebration of “Canada’s” 150 years we must not forget our hosts who were here before we arrived. There is much more truth that can be uncovered if we study. The CBC has a list of 15 books about Indigenous History and experiences. I have read three and was able to get three more at Coles at Medicine Hat Mall. I went to workshops and celebrations in Winnipeg, Grand Prairie, Big Valley, Calgary, and Saskatoon. I also read volumes of indigenous history and individual experiences. We are all treaty people. I have joined others in studying the application of the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous people. My search for Truth and Reconciliation continues.
